ACT 1, SCENE 2: QUIET ROOM | BREATHE
A small, dark, and enclosed space. All sound is muted and you see the YOUNG WOMAN sitting in the corner. We are sitting with her and sharing her feeling of claustrophobia.
As YOUNG WOMAN exhales the cacophony of voices instantly
stops. She turns to the camera.
A YOUNG WOMAN stands up like she is unraveling herself from
the weight of all the thoughts. She opens the door to the room and walks out as the scene dissolves into white light
ACT 1,

We’re in an empty Mensa, but the sound makes the impression that everything is normal and crowded.
STUDENT COOK (V.O.)
INGREDIENTS
1 student, 1 laptop, 1 cozy blanket,
4
university classes, 5 bars of wifi signal, 10 bottles of red wine
PREPARATION
Throw the student, the laptop, and the wifi signal into one bowl and stir until the student needs a blue light filter and time in nature. Slowly pour
in some red wine, as the student melts, creating a taste of bitterness from missing freedom and friends. on the side, you can now grate the
university classes so that all of the aromas of presentations and assignments come out perfectly. Let the student boil in the liquid of anxiety until it is intermixed well. Throw in all the assignments at once Put the heat at max and let it boil until the end of the semester. Roll the chewy mass into one cozy blanket, stuff it into your thickest baking dish and push it into the oven. Set the program on “binge-watching anything and everything”.
While hearing the recipe read out, we can hear the dish
getting prepared

The cinema is empty, no people are around. A “technical difficulties” screen is being projected. But we hear a movie getting screened, people laughing, having fun.
ENSEMBLE (V.O.)
Melancholy sweeps over the lonely halls and paths that I used to get lost in so many times.
The cinema – my memories paint this left location with life. As I walk past all these familiar rows, I still can’t fully recognize them. Everything
seems off. I don’t know where I’m going. It’s like the world is watching me. or
I am watching the world from outside
of it.
Scenes of disaster on repeat. Your favorite tv reruns mixed in with headlines of all the things you said could wait until tomorrow
indefinitely. We are watching the world as observers while our world becomes very small. Our homes have been filled with life Overfilled and brimming with noise, breath, and sweat. Too many things, too much time. Dishes and garbage and
clothes and fridge. Tv. Fridge. Tv.
Fridge. Rinse. Repeat.
ACT 1, SCENE 5: LECTURE HALL | YOU FORGOT YOUR HOMEWORK
An empty lecture hall, no students around.
ENSEMBLE VOICES (V.O.)
On the side, you can now grate the university classes so that all of the aromas of homework, deadlines, presentations, and assignments comes
out perfectly. Let yourself boil for a moment in your
anxiety, missing liberties, and happiness from the moments of silence and reminiscence Humming and buzzing tones emitted subtly by study rooms will soon be drowned out by live voices. Inside you are awaited by the distant fragments of someone’s voice that echoes rarely through the long hallways.
